The water was REALLY cold!
Like I said, lots of waterfalls!
This trail was a 2.5 loop on Whiteside Mountain. Matt is standing on rock known as "Fools Lookout". You can't really tell from the picture, but he the rock he is on is only about two to three feet in width with a straight drop-off of about 2,000 feet. Terrifying!
This is just another of the many views on Whiteside Mountain.
We road the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad from Bryson City, NC through the Nantahala Gorge and ate lunch at the Nantahala Outdoor Center. We were going to go rafting but ran out of time!
We celebrated our anniversary at a fantastic restaurant in Cashiers called The Orchard. The town is a dry town (but the county isn't, go figure) so we had to "brown bag" our wine after buying it from another local restaurant! But if you are ever in the area, The Orchard is a wonderful place!

Happy Anniversary and WELCOME BACK!
That looks like a lot of fun!! Happy Anniversary!
happy belated anniversary! what a fun trip.
we crossed the continental divide twice on our trip through yellowstone. i'm still not sure what exactly it is though?!?
From what I understand, the continental divide determines what oceans rivers and stuff empty into. But I think it is a lot more complicated than that.... it was A LOT of fun though!
